Know About Founder
I’m Dr S P Patel (Dr Sheetal Prasad Patel), my basic education has been started from the poor primary school of the village Kasturi, district Gonda, UP and after then my basic education completed from the village of district Basti, and also from urban school and College of Lucknow etc. After developing a career conscious, my medical education started after contesting CPMT in the 1980 from the MLB Medical College (one of Govt medical College UP), Bundelkhand University Jhansi, the Internship training of MBBS Course had been completed from LTM Medical College, University of Mumbai, later the Diploma in Public Health, PG diploma course was also completed from same college of same University of Mumbai. The MD in the Community Medicine as another medical PG course from MLB Medical College, and lastly PGCCN Course was completed from National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR), Hyderabad
Tenure
My medical and health experience started after joining the duty of the Medical officer of National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicap (NASEOH), India , Chembur, Mumbai on 29 July 1987, after joining as Medical Officer my duty to provide regular health services to the slums community of Mumbai City till the 20th March 1989, during the same time, the course of Diploma in Public Health ( DPH) was also completed from LTM Medical College, Sion, University of Mumbai. After completing course of DPH, i also passed out MD (Community Medicine) form the MLB Medical College, Jhansi (Bundelkhand University), . After getting a degree, MD in Community Medicine, i had joined a post of Lecturer in the Department of Community Medicine of RM Medical College, Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar, Tamil Nadu on 20th September 1991, as Lecturer, i provided Community Medicine services to the rural and urban communities of Tamil Nadu up to 28th July 1996. Since 1st August 1996, i had joined Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science, Sevagram, Maharashtra where i had exposed a special rural health services by stating in village( as Health Camp programming) for the period of a month every years, by continuously stating in the village, I had a chance to get knowledge of health problems of Maharashtrian poor rural community . After then I had joined the Leprosy elimination project of WHO on 1st January 1998 as Medical Officer for about 1 Year.
After getting Medical and Health experience from different communities of different States and Districts of India, i had joined a post of Assistant Professor in the department of Community Medicine and Public Health of King George’s Medical University UP, Lucknow on 16th June 1999. In King George’s Medical University , my department and University have given responsibility of various posts :-
1. In-charge of Rural Health Training Centre, Sarojini Nagar
2. In-charge of Experimental Teaching Health Sub Centre, Banthra
3. In-charge of Experimental Teaching Health Sub Centre, Mati
4. In-charge of Urban Health Training Centre, Alambagh
5. Officer In-charge , Primary Health Centre, Sarojini Nagar
6. Faculty In-charge, Rural Health Training Centre, Banthra
7. Acting HOD, department of Community Medicine and Public health, King George’s Medical University
This University also has promoted me from the post of Assistant Professor to Associate Professor on 16th June 2003 and then from Associate Professor to Professor on 16th June 2007 with any break up till the superannuation on 13th March 2022 , The University also has promoted me as Professor and Head of department of Community Medicine and Public Health, King George’s Medical University UP, Lucknow. Lastly I was superannuated by the University on 13th March 2023.
